The Carlisle 3-star Inn is near Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District and the Scottish border.

With its oak beams and panelling, open fires and gleaming brassware, the String of Horses has welcomed visitors from all over the world for more than 350 years.

Though acclaimed for its yesteryear ambience, the inn treats guests to a 21st-century style and great food.

The city of Carlisle, situated a few kilometres from the Faugh village, is the gateway to the North Lake District Southern Scotland, still retaining the charm of Roman times.
